Alleima to Supply Coated Steel for Doosan Fuel Cell Interconnects 

Swedish steel company Alleima will supply its Sanergy high-temperature pre-coated steel to Doosan Fuel Cell for its ramp-up to mass production of fuel cells for both maritime and stationary applications. The volume production is set to begin this year at a new manufacturing plant in Korea.

The Alleima material will be used for the interconnects, a key component in the fuel cell stacks. Alleima said in late January that it had received the order from Doosan which spans over two years for a total value of SEK 160 million. Deliveries were to start in the first quarter of 2025. […]

Celadyne Ramps Up Membrane Technology with Investor Backing 

Celadyne Technologies has been awarded $1 million for further development of high-performing membranes for fuel cells and electrolyzers. From the DOE’s Advanced Materials & Manufacturing Technologies Office and coordinated by its new Critical Materials Collaborative, the grant was announced December 10. It is part of a package of 14 awards spanning an assortment of areas including rare earths recycling, hydrogen fuel cells, magnetic technologies and materials processing to improve America’s domestic supply chain of critical materials. Maximator Provides H2 Filling Stations for Transport Systems in Germany 

With new installations for transport networks in Cottbus, Germany and in Vienna, Austria, hydrogen filling stations made by Maximator Hydrogen, a company of the Schmidt Kranz Group, are gaining in prominence across Europe. Cottbusverkehr GmbH, in collaboration with Maximator Hydrogen and MoviaTec, plan to construction a pioneering hydrogen filling station with electrolysis that will set Cottbus’s public transport system in eastern Germany on the road to the energy transition.
