Swiss compressor maker Celeroton has developed two gas-bearing high-speed turbo compressors designed for demanding process-gas applications. One is designed for hydrogen gas, the other for oxygen.
Based on a shared design platform, both systems combine compact dimensions, high power density, and fully oil-free operation. A newly developed housing design allows for operation with wet gas mixtures. Both feature high-speed gas bearings for oil-free operation, along with aerodynamic and electromagnetic optimization for high overall efficiency.
Model CT-1011-H2 is a turbo compressor for hydrogen-containing process gases. A compact, electrically driven radial turbo compressor for the circulation and compression of gas mixtures containing (moist) hydrogen, it was specially developed for applications requiring high purity, low leakage and efficient handling of hydrogen. Model CT-1011-O2 is a turbo compressor for oxygen-containing process gases.
Based in Volketswil, Switzerland in the Zurich area, Celeroton develops and manufactures ultra-high-speed drives, turbocompressors and converters, also magnetic bearing choppers. See www.celeroton.com.
